Currently, I connect my desktop to my TV, via HDMI from my video card, to the HDMI input of my TV.
My TV (Kuro pro-111fd) can connect to a network, but doesn't have apps, as that wasn't available at the time.
I'll be moving in a few weeks, and my computer might be farther from my TV than it currently is.
What are some options, and pros/cons, of the following? Here's what I'm considering:
1. Iogear GW3DHDKIT wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver.

$213
100 foot range.
2. 15 foot HDMI cable

$4.52
I'm not sure how far apart the computer and TV will be, will have to see once I actually move and see what makes sense.
If they're within 10 feet or less, I'm thinking cable.
If they're farther apart than 15 feet, I'm thinking of the wireless option. I could get a 25 foot cable for $7-$12, but I'm thinking a wireless option might give a better look, and avoid having a wire across a main area.
I have a Chromecast, but it can't find my wireless network, and even if it could, I wouldn't want something with only a 15' range. Hence the Iogear option seems better, as it provides more range.
Thoughts? Are there other alternatives one would recommend?
Also, question about the Iogear 100 foot range. If the receiver were hypothetically on the bottom floor of a house, and the transmitter was 30 feet across, but up one floor (hence going through the ceiling), do you think it would be within range, and work well?
